BEFORE THE BIG DAY,
Let the memories shine.
- Do little by little!
- Ask your vendors for help.
- Think about how you want the day to feel.
- Go with your gut.
- Laugh off the mistakes.
WHEN THE BIG DAY COMES,
I will capture big and small moments to cherish. All your hard work will be worth it, so be in the moment and cry and laugh and celebrate and love. I will be your pose queen, secret spy, niece's best friend, back-up planner, and everything in between.
"Kelly was an absolute dream to work with. She captured everyone so well and really brought out the energy of the wedding through her photos. If you are wondering who to book with, Kelly is THE GIRL!"

THe WEDDING DAY
The timeline was the most important part to me because I wanted my wedding to flow smoothly. Here are some tips from my experience as a bride and photographer.
01. GETTING READY
Start early! Your wedding day will unfortunately fly by, so even the mornings can get rushed. Tell your people what your expectations are so everyone is on the same page. It's also great to assign folks to clean up your spaces for pretty pictures.
02. DETAILS
Your photographer needs at least 30 minutes to capture your hard work, but an hour is much better to capture everything from rings, to decorations, to venue, to attire, etc. I'm happy to work with you to accommodate your priorities.
03. BEHIND THE SCENES
Decide which moments to create space for whether that's your mom putting on your jewelry, doing a first look with your dad or friends, having a sloppy kiss with your dog, or anything that is noteworthy for your forever photo album.
04. VOWS
It truly is a personal decision whether to do private or public vows. For me personally, the emotions felt a lot more surreal at the altar, but many love their intimate moments with their soon-to-be spouse.
05. LOCATION
Where you shoot your couple and/or wedding party photos depends on how quickly you want to get back to your guests. Going off site can be so worth it if you're okay with the extra time. We can also do a styled session a different day.
06. LIGHT
As you're thinking about where to place chairs/tables/altar, know that we want the light behind you for the best pictures (and remember noon is not a friend to anyone). But also, I can always pull you off the dance floor for a few sunset photos.
07. CEREMONY
Walking down the aisle was the epitome of the day to me. I want to protect that memory for you as well, so don't forget to tell your officiant to announce about phones. And to make family photos easier, also have someone tell the crowd to stay near after the ceremony.
08. POSING
I'm here to pose you throughout the whole day! I can help your wedding party get in all the right spots, call out family members, and dream up the best couple shots. But I also stay under the radar as needed so you focus on enjoying yourself.
09. PARTY
Time to have the time of your life! I love that couples have unique traditions with their loved ones. Party like it's your birthday, but times ten - party like it's your wedding! I do recommend hiring a private DJ with lots of great reviews since big companies can be inconsistent.
10. TAKE IT IN
Lastly, take the time for you both to pause. The busyness is real, so sometimes you have to be intentional about savoring it. My venue even set aside some appetizers for us before entering the reception. And don't be afraid to ask your friends to fetch you drinks. Make it your day!
