YOUR SEAMLESS ELOPEMENT

The flow of your special day is really important to me so that you can be present and in love. Here are some tips from my experience as a bride and photographer.

01. GETTING READY

Start early! Even your elopement will fly by, so don't let your mornings get rushed. Slow it down, drink your favorite hot cup of something, smell the surrounding air, bring out your attire into the open and soak it in.

02. DETAILS

Your photographer needs at least 30 minutes to capture your hard work, but an hour is much better to capture everything from rings, to attire, to flowers, to jewelry, etc. I'm happy to work with you to accommodate your priorities.

03. BEHIND THE SCENES

Decide which moments to create space for whether that's you or a special person putting on your jewelry, doing a first look with your soon-to-be spouse, having a sloppy kiss with your dog, or anything that is noteworthy for your forever photo album.

04. VOWS

Write those special words onto a notebook or special vow book for detail photos. Take your time with your writing process and let it stretch out. Then, when the day comes, look into their eyes.

05. LOCATION

This is the best part of an elopement! Your photographer will help you come up with the most serene and beautiful spots for your love story. We'll hop around and have fun.

06. LIGHT

As you're thinking about where to say your vow, know that we want the light behind you for the best pictures (and remember noon is not a friend to anyone). Sunrises and sunsets are the most dreamy.

10. TAKE IT IN

Lastly, take the time for you both to pause. The quickness is real, so sometimes you have to be intentional about savoring it. Bring snacks, champagne, cake, you name it. Make it your day!
